Educational Qualification

• Rail Welding (EA) Technician: Matric + ITI OR Apprenticeship Training + NTC OR NCTVT

Experience Requirement

• Minimum three years experience in arc welding.
• Experience in covered arc welding of butt joints on 9 mm thick carbon steel sheets without backing strip, in downward or upright position, in compliance with ISO 9606-1.
• Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in Enclosed Arc (EA) welding or similar specialized welding work in shipbuilding, shipping, heavy engineering, railways, or comparable industries.

Medical Standards

• Candidates must be in sound health and free from colour blindness.
• No relaxation in health standards will be allowed.

Salary Structure & Benefits

• Selected candidates will receive initial Basic of the respective pay scale of Rs. 22,000 – 63,000.
• Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA): Currently @ 55.7% of Basic Pay.
• Allowances: @ 15% of Basic Pay.
• Annual Increment: 3% on Basic Pay, based on performance.
• No HRA will be provided to Contract Employees on Pay Scale; Bachelor Accommodation shall be provided at Project Sites instead.
• During service, TA/DA/CTA is admissible as per regular employee entitlement.
• Contract Employee is required to maintain a Medical Health Insurance Policy of Rs. 5 Lakhs (self) with a premium ceiling of Rs. 8,000 per annum (reimbursed upon receipt submission).

Selection Process & Screening Clause

• Selection is conducted through a walk-in interview on 03 November 2026.
• Only applicants who are eligible as per the prescribed criteria will be interviewed.
• Candidates must report to the registration desk between 09:30 AM and 01:00 PM on the interview date; interview begins at 10:00 AM onwards.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the walk-in interview unless as per rules.
• Final selection is subject to document verification of originals at the venue.

Contract Terms & Important Instructions

• The contract is for an initial tenure of 2 years, which may be extended after two years based on performance and project requirement.
• Contract Employees on pay scale shall execute a service bond of Rs. 5,00,000 for serving the company for the initial period of 2 years and any extended period up to a maximum of three years.
• The appointment is co-terminus with the project and will not confer any right to claim absorption into the regular establishment of IRCON.
