The Indian Sign Language Research and Training Centre (ISLRTC), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, has announced a notification for the recruitment of 02 regular posts on a direct recruitment basis. Candidates with the required qualifications and experience are invited to submit their applications via post or by hand.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Interpreter

• Essential Qualification:
  1. Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University/Institute.
  2. C Level - Indian Sign Language Course or Diploma in Indian Sign Language Interpretation.
  3. Minimum three years of Interpreting experience in an academic institute.
  4. RCI Registration.
  5. Proficiency test for Sign Language is compulsory.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of interpreting experience in an academic institute is mandatory.
• Desirable: Not specified.

Eligibility for Library Assistant

• Essential Qualification:
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science from a recognized University/Institute.
  2. Two years professional experience in a Library under Central/State Government, autonomous/statutory organization, PSU, University, or Recognized Research/Educational Institution.
• Desirable: Diploma in Computer Application from a recognized University or Institute.
• Specific Condition: The incumbent must obtain an 'A' level ISL Course within two years from the date of joining.

Important Instructions & Fee

Application Fee:

• Library Assistant: ₹1000/- for General/OBC candidates. No fee for SC/ST/EWS/PWD/Women/Ex-Servicemen (as per rules).
• Interpreter: No application fee (post is reserved for SC category).
