The following position is to be filled on purely temporary basis under adhoc research project entitled “Molecular and Pharmacogenetic marker evaluation in relation to the toxicity and clinical response of acute lymphoblastic leukemia treatment in Indian children (MPGx-INDALL)” as part of Indo-Swiss DBT project, Department of Medical Oncology, JIPMER, Puducherry

3. Qualification : Post graduate degree in Pharmacology/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology with 2 years’ research experience. OR
Post Graduate Degree in Pharmacology/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology through a process described through any one of the following:
a) Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests- CSIR-UGC, NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE. b) The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc.
4. Pay (approx.) : Rs. 31,000/ per month+ 4960 (16%) HRA

Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) can trace its origins to the ‘Ecole de Medicine de Pondicherry’ established by the French Government in 1823. In 1956 foundation for new medical college was laid and in 1964, hospital was inaugurated. JIPMER became an institution of national importance under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India in the year 2008. It is an institution established for teaching, research and patient care in the area of health. JIPMER spreads over 192 acres. The institution houses one administrative block, one academic centre, one nursing college, seven hospital blocks, seven accessory services buildings and four residential complexes. 12 broad types of medical, nursing and allied health science courses covering all disciplines in healthcare from basic to super speciality training are conducted.
Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) is a medical school located in Pondicherry. JIPMER imparts undergraduate and postgraduate medical training & has a working hospital which provides inexpensive medical care to patients.
