Note: If EWS vacancies remain unfilled, the posts may be filled on a merit basis from General/UR or other categories. All recruited SRs at Puducherry shall be posted to work at JIPMER Karaikal Campus on a rotation basis (minimum 3 months).
4. Eligibility Criteria
A. Educational Qualification
- Medical/Surgical Departments (Anatomy, Biochemistry, CTVS, General Medicine, General Surgery, Ophthalmology, Pathology, PM&R, Pharmacology, Physiology): An NMC/MCI-recognized postgraduate medical degree of MD/MS/DNB in the respective discipline from a recognized University/Institute.
- Neonatology: Candidates with DM in the concerned discipline (or equivalent) are also eligible.
- CTVS: MS/DNB in General Surgery AND M.Ch/DNB in CTVS (or M.Ch/DNB in Vascular Surgery).
B. Age Limit & Relaxation
Upper Age Limit: Not exceeding 45 years.
Crucial Date for Age Calculation: 28.02.2026 (Must possess qualifying degree by this date).
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwBD (UR/EWS): 10 years

5. Examination Structure & Selection Process
The selection involves a Written Test followed by an Interview. Candidates must appear at JIPMER Puducherry.

- Reporting Time: 08:00 AM (Candidates arriving after 08:30 AM will not be allowed).
