Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

  • Project Research Scientist I (Medical): MBBS, BDS / BAMS with MPH degree. Candidates with experience in Geriatric Medicine, Medicine, or Community Medicine-based health research projects, or candidates holding an MPH degree, will be preferred.
  • Project Research Scientist II (Non-Medical): Post Graduate Degree, including integrated PG degrees, with three years post-qualification experience. Alternatively, a PhD degree qualifies. Candidates with one year of experience in Geriatric Medicine / community-based health research projects, or candidates holding an MPH degree, will be preferred.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

The selection process for both Project Research Scientist posts consists of the following stages:

  1. Shortlisting: Based on the submitted application, curriculum vitae (CV), and documentary proof of qualifications and experience. Only shortlisted candidates will be allowed to proceed.
  2. Written Test: Scheduled on 22 October 2026 at JIPMER, Puducherry. The written test will assess subject knowledge relevant to the project (SMART project in geriatric/health research).
  3. In-Person Interview: Scheduled on 22 October 2026. Candidates who qualify the written test will be called for a personal interview at the project venue.
