Educational Qualification: MS/MD, M.Ch, DM
Applications are invited by the Director, JIPMER, from eligible candidates to fill the below mentioned post on contract basis. Eligible applicants shall submit their application as per the instruction mentioned below.
1. Name of the Post: Assistant Professor
2. Total Post: 04
3. Department:
i. Nephrology
ii. Neonatology
iii. Cardiology
iv. Urology
4. Consolidated Pay: 1,42,506/- per month
5. Essential Qualification:
i) A Medical qualification included in the first or second Schedule or Part II of the third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (persons possessing qualifications included in part II of third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section13 (3) of the Act.)
ii) A Postgraduate qualification, i.e., M.D. or a recognized qualification equivalent there to in the respective discipline or subject.
iii) D.M. in Nephrology (two years or three years or five years recognized course) or a qualification recognized equivalent there to.
ii) A Postgraduate qualification, e.g. MD or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline or subject; AND/OR
iii) D.M. in Neonatology (two years or three years or five years recognized course) or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
iv) D.M. in Cardiology (two years or three years or five years recognized course) or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto;
v) M.Ch. in Urology (two years or three years or five years recognized course) or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto;
6. Experience:
i. One year teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in Nephrology after obtaining the qualifying degree of D.M. in Nephrology (two years or five years recognized course after MBBS) or a qualification recognized equivalent there to. However, no experience is necessary for the candidates possessing the three years recognized degree of D.M. in Nephrology or qualification recognized equivalent there to.
ii. One year teaching and, or research experience in a recognized institution in Neonatology after obtaining the qualifying degree of D.M. in Neonatology (two years or five years recognized course after MBBS) or a qualifying recognized equivalent thereto. However, no experience is necessary for the candidates possessing the three years recognized degree of D.M. in Neonatology or qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
iii. One year teaching and, or research experience in a recognized institution in Cardiology after obtaining the qualifying degree of D.M. in Cardiology (two years or five years recognized course after MBBS) or a qualifying recognized equivalent thereto. However, no experience is necessary for the candidates possessing the three years recognized degree of D.M. in Cardiology or qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
iv. One year teaching and, or research experience in a recognized institution in Urology after obtaining the qualifying degree of M.Ch. in Urology (two years or five years recognized course after MBBS) or a qualifying recognized equivalent thereto. However, no experience is necessary for the candidates possessing the three years recognized degree of M.Ch. in Urology or qualification recognized equivalent thereto.

Selection Procedure
