Eligibility Criteria (In-Depth)

1. Educational Qualification

• For Engineering/Technology Branches (IT & Metallurgical Engineering):
  • B.E./B.Tech/B.S. and M.E./M.Tech/M.S. or Integrated M.Tech in relevant branch with First Class or equivalent in any one of the degrees.
  • Ph.D. after Bachelor's from institutions of national importance (e.g., IITs) with GATE is also eligible.
• For Science & Humanities (Chemistry & Physics):
  • Master's Degree with 55% marks (50% for reserved categories) + NET/JET or Ph.D as per UGC Regulations 2009/2016.
  • Mark Relaxation: 5% relaxation in marks for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PwD candidates.
  • Additional 5% relaxation for Ph.D holders who obtained Master's before 19 September 1991.

2. Age Limit

• Cut-off Date: 01 August 2025 (Age is calculated as of this date).
• Minimum Age: No minimum age prescribed.
• Maximum Age: Candidate must be below 65 years.
• Retirement Age: The retirement age for the post is 65 years. Candidates attaining 65 years during the selection process will not be considered.

Selection Process (Merit-Based)

This recruitment does not involve a competitive written exam. Selection is based on academic records and interview performance.

• Academic Record & Achievements: 80 marks (Weightage based on degrees, research publications, experience).
• Interview: 20 marks.
• Total: 100 marks.
• Shortlisting: 5 times candidates will be called for document verification; 3 times will be called for the interview.
• Minimum Qualifying Marks:
  • EBC: 34%
  • SC/ST: 32%
