Educational Qualification: M.Phil/Ph.D
A walk-in interview will be held on January 13th (Thursday), 2022 at 12:00 noon at the Chamber of Head, Department of Botany, University of Kalyani for selection of one Research Associate-I in SERB (Govt. of India) funded project.
1. Designation/Position: Research Associate-I (purely temporary, co-terminus with the project)
2. No of Posts: 01
3. Project Title: "Screening of Maize Inbreds, microRNAomic Profiling Assisted Identification of Candidate Genes and Development of miRNA-based Markers Conferring Tolerance to High Arsenite (Aslll) Stress"
4. Salary: 47000/- + admissible HRA
5. Eligibility/ Qualification: Doctorate Degree (Ph.D.) in any area of Life Sciences with at least one research paper in relevant field in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journals.
i. Experience in gene expression study, molecular markers and handling small RNA sequence data are desirable.
6. Tenure of the project: 36 months

The University of Kalyani was established in 1960, is a state-government administered, affiliating and research university in Nadia district of West Bengal. It offers courses at the undergraduate and post-graduate levels.
The university was established on 1 November 1960 by the Kalyani University Act 1960 of the state of West Bengal. The University of Kalyani is a State- University and its activities are guided by the Kalyani University Act, 1981 (amended up to 2001), enacted by the Govt. of West Bengal. The Act is supplemented by 'Statutes', 'Ordinances','Regulations' and 'Rules'. This act replaced 'The Kalyani University (Temporary Suppression) Act, 1978, which in turn replaced 'The Kalyani University Act, 1960. The University Grants Commission accorded recognition to the university.
