Educational Qualification & Experience:PUC (10+2) or equivalent. No prior experience is required.

Age Limit:Minimum 18 years. General: Max 40 years; 2A/2B/3A/3B: Max 43 years; SC/ST/Category-1: Max 45 years. Age relaxation for other categories as per Government of Karnataka rules.
Salary (per month):
Pay Scale: ₹34,100 - ₹67,600 per month, plus allowances and NPS benefits as per Government rules.
Selection Procedure:
- Online Application
- Written Competitive Examination: Offline (OMR-based). General/RPC exam is scheduled for 4th October 2026.
- Document Verification: For shortlisted candidates.
Application Fee: ₹750 (General/2A/2B/3A/3B); ₹500 (SC/ST/Category-1/Ex-Servicemen/Third Gender); ₹250 (Special Chetana/PwD candidates). Fee must be paid online.

- Select Recruitment: Click on the relevant link for VAO Recruitment 2026 (General/RPC or Kalyana-Karnataka, as applicable).
- Register: Register with your basic details to create login credentials.
- Fill Application: Fill the application form carefully with personal, educational, and category details. Select only one district.
- Upload Documents: Upload scanned photograph (JPEG, 50KB–200KB) and signature (JPEG, 50KB–70KB) as per the specified format.
- Pay Fee: Pay the application fee online.
- Submit: Submit the application. No changes are allowed after submission.
- Take Printout: Download and print the completed application and fee payment challan for future reference.
Important: The application window is open from 11th July 2026 to 7th August 2026. The fee payment last date is 10th August 2026. Candidates can apply for only one district.

Key Instructions for Candidates
- Eligibility: Check the educational qualification (PUC pass) and category-wise age limits carefully.

- One District: You can apply for only one district. Applications to more than one district will not be accepted.

- Exam Date: The General/RPC written exam is scheduled for 4th October 2026. The date for the Kalyana-Karnataka exam will be announced later.

The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) is a government organization in the state of Karnataka, India. It was established to conduct various entrance exams for admissions into professional courses offered by institutions in the state.
The KEA is responsible for conducting exams such as the Common Entrance Test (CET) for undergraduate courses like engineering, medical and dental, the Postgraduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) for admissions to MBA, MCA, M.E, M.Tech and M.Arch courses, and the Diploma CET for admissions to diploma courses.
Apart from conducting exams, the KEA also facilitates the counseling process for admissions into various courses, and manages the seat allotment process.
The primary objective of the Karnataka Examination Authority is to ensure fair and transparent selection of candidates for admission into professional courses, and to promote merit-based admissions.
