Eligibility Criteria for KPSC Gazetted Probationers 2026

Educational Qualification

As per Rule 7 of the Gazetted Probationers Rules, 1997: a Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree from a University established by law in India or equivalent qualification. Candidates waiting for results can appear for the Preliminary exam but must submit proof before Mains.

Preliminary Exam (Objective, 400 marks, screening only)

Main Exam (Descriptive, 1250 marks + 25 interview)

5 compulsory papers (Essay, GS 1-4) + 2 qualifying papers in Kannada and English (minimum 35% each).
