Educational Qualification M.Com OR MBA (Finance/Financial Management/Financial Analysis) OR any Master's with Finance as subject OR Member of ICAI OR Associate member of ICWA (Institute of Cost Accountants of India).
Cadre Eligibility Must be a local candidate of the Hyderabad-Karnataka (Kalyana Karnataka) region under Article 371(J) of the Constitution. A local-candidate eligibility certificate is mandatory.
Age Limit (as on closing date) Minimum 21 years. Maximum (with one-time 5-year relaxation): General: 40 years; Category 2A/2B/3A/3B: 43 years; SC/ST/Category-1: 43 years. Additional relaxation for Ex-Servicemen, PH (10 years), and Widows (10 years).

Selection Process

  • Preliminary Examination (Objective): Two papers (General Studies and Commerce & Management) for screening. Marks are not counted for final merit. Candidates are shortlisted in a 1:20 ratio.
  • Main Examination (Descriptive): Eight papers (Kannada, English, General Studies, Financial Accounting, Management, Corporate Finance, Auditing) totaling 2100 marks. This determines the final merit.
  • Preliminary Exam (Tentative): 29 November 2026.
