Applications are invited for the recruitment of temporary positions listed below through Walk-in- Interview on 09.05.2022 (Monday) at 10.30 AM (in-person) at ICAR- KVK, Karaiakal, Puducherry (U.T.)

1. Position: Senior Research Fellow (Purely on contractual / temporary basis)

2. No of Post: 01

3. Name of the Project: National Innovations in Climate Resilient Agriculture (NICRA)

4. Essential qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Sciences with 4 years and 2 years of Master's degree in Agronomy / Agricultural Chemistry and Soil Science and having NET qualification are also eligible.

5. Desirable:

(a) Candidates with experience in ICAR Projects/Schemes

(b) Knowledge in data compilation, analysis and report writing.

(c) Computer knowledge with experience in Worksheets, Document editors and presentation software

6. Nature of Work: Promotion of Climate Resilient, data collection, compilation and report preparation related to NICRA project

7. Duration: Up to 31st March 2026 or till termination of the project, whichever is earlier.

8. Emoluments: Rs.31000 per month +HRA

About Krishi Vigyan Kendra

Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Delhi is the Farm Science Centre working under the aegis of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. of India. It was established by the National Horticultural Research and Development Foundation (NHRDF) in February 1995 at Nafed Complex, V&P. Ujwa, Nazafgarh, Delhi -110 073.

KVK functions in accordance with the following mandates:

Conducting “On-farm trials” for identifying technologies in terms of location-specific sustainable land use systems.
Organizing “Front Line Demonstrations” on various crops to generate production data and feedback information.
Organizing training to update the extension personnel with emerging advances in agricultural research on a regular basis.
Organizing short and long-term vocational training courses in agriculture and allied vocations for the farmers and rural youths with emphasis on “learning by doing” for higher production on farms and generating self-employment.
To work as a resource and knowledge centre of agricultural technology for supporting initiatives of public, private and voluntary sectors for improving the agricultural economy of the district.

KVK, Delhi is implementing various programmes viz On Farm Trial, FLD’s, training etc in accordance with its mandate in mission mode from its office cum Laboratory Building at Nafed Complex, Ujwa, Nazafgarh.
