3. Title of Project: "Tracing the Precambrian magmatic components in the geodynamic evolution of Kumaun Himalaya and their geological correlations: Constraints from phase petrology, geochemistry, U-Pb SHRIMP zircon geochronology and Lu-Hf-O isotopes of granites and their enclaves".
4. Sponsor of the project: Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India
5. Qualification: M.Sc. in Geology with First Division with two years of research experience and Publication s in the subject field.
6. Emoluments: Rs. 35000/- + HRA per month
6. Duration: Till the completion of the project (30.06.2023)
7. Job description; Geological field work, laboratory investigations of geological materials, data anal sis and interpretation; and publications

1. Candidates before appearing in Walk-in-Interview shall ensure that they are eligible for the position.
2. The candidate should bring the following documents for verification on the date and time of walk-in-interview to be held in the Head" room of Geology Department, Kumaun University, Nainital. Application on plain paper with detailed CV including chronological discipline of degree/certificates obtained.
3. Experience including research, industrial field, and others. Publication in the relevant field, if any Attested copy of degree/certificate/NET-JRF and experience certificates. Candidates shall bring along with them the original and experience certificate(s) on the date and time (23.03.2022 at 1.00 PM) of the walk-in-interview.

Kumaun University, a residential-cum-affliating university, came into existence in the year 1973 by notification No. (10)/8651/15/75(85)/64 dated 23 November, 1973 under the Act No. 10 of State Legislature (U.P. State Universities Act, 1973 now adopted by Uttarakhand State) with the merger of two Government Colleges, D.S.B. Government P.G.College, Nainital and Almora Government P.G. College, Almora. These Constituent Colleges were later elevated to the status of University Campuses by Government order No. E-1861/GS dated 14/15 March, 1994.
