4. Eligibility Criteria
A. Educational Qualification
- For Subject Matter Specialist (Plant Protection):
- Master’s Degree in Agricultural Entomology or Plant Pathology (or equivalent qualification) from a recognized university.
- For Sr.Scientist-cum-Head:
- Doctoral Degree in Agricultural Sciences (including relevant basic sciences).
- Experience: Minimum 8 years experience as Scientist/Lecturer/Extension Specialist in Pay Band-3 (Rs. 15,600-39,100) with Grade Pay of Rs. 5,400/6,000/7,000/8,000 or equivalent.
- Desirable: Ph.D. in Agriculture Extension, Agronomy, Plant Breeding, Horticulture, Soil Science, etc.
B. Age Limit & Relaxation
Age Calculation: Age is calculated as on the Closing Date of application submission.
- SC/ST Candidates: Age relaxation of 5 years is applicable as per Govt. of India rules.
- OBC Candidates: Age relaxation of 3 years is applicable.
- PwD Candidates: Age relaxation of 10 years is applicable.
