Educational Qualification: 10TH
Subject: Regarding filling up the one post of “Farmer Change Agent” on contractual basis (fixed salary of Rs.12000/- per month). It is proposed to fill up the post of one “Farmers Change Agent” (FCA)@ Rs.12000/- per month fixed (including EPF + ESI) on contractual basis under the scheme “Promotion on Agricultural Mechanization for in-situ management of crop residue in the state of Punjab” under ICAR-143 (PC-2471) at KVK Patiala, possessing the following qualifications:
1. Name of the Post: Farmer Change Agent
2. No of Post: 01
3. Salary: Fixed Salary of Rs.12000/- per month
4. Qualification:
a) The FCA should be Matric with farming background
b) The FCA should have working knowledge of crop residue management machinery
c) The FCA should have passed Punjabi up to Matric level
5. Desirable: The candidate having 5 days training from KVK will be preferred.

The desirous candidates fulfilling the above qualifications/experience should send their applications on plain paper complete in all respect along with attested copies of the testimonials and a bank draft of Rs 200/- in favour of Comptroller, PAU, Ludhiana payable at Ludhiana to the address Deputy Director (Training), Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Patiala. The last date of receipt of applications is 20.12.2021 upto 10.00 AM. The applications received without fees or received after due date shall not be considered. The verification of the documents and suitability of the candidates will be held on 20.12.2021 at 2.00 P.M. at KVK, Patiala (Rauni). The original copies of the testimonials should be brought at the time of verification. No TA/DA will be given for attending the verification.

Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Patiala was established in 1992 under the aegis of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana with full financial assistance from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). The KVK campus is located at about 90 km distance from the main PAU, Ludhiana campus on Ludhiana-Malerkotla-Patiala state highway at about 9 km from Patiala city. Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) is an innovative science-based institution that imparts training viz.: Practising Farmers/Farm women (short term-1-2 days), Vocational Trainings for Rural Youth/Farm Women (5-10 days), and long term (1 week to 12 weeks) in the disciplines of Crop Production, Plant Protection, Horticulture, Agricultural Engineering, Animal Science and Home Science for farmers, farm women and unemployed rural youths. It also conducts On Farm Research for technology refinement and Front Line Demonstrations to demonstrate the production potential of various agricultural technologies to the farmers as well as to the extension workers.
