Applications are invited for (1) One post of Medical Officer, (2) One post of Project Technician-III in an Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) funded project titled “Evaluation of the Efficacy and Safety of a Combination regimen of Bedaquiline, Delamanid, Linezolid and Clofazimine in Adults with Pre-extensive (Pre-XDR) and Extensively Drugresistant Pulmonary Tuberculosis (XDR-TB): Prospective Cohort Study”. All these posts are purely on contract basis initially for six months or till the project closes. 1. Name and No of the Post: Medical Officer -1 2. Essential Qualification : MBBS degree from a recognized university. 3. Desirable Qualification : Preference will be given to those candidates working in field of Tuberculosis / with PG degree. : GCP training 4. Emoluments : Consolidated Rs. 90,000/- per month. 1. Name and No of the Post: Project Technician-III (Laboratory) -1 2. Essential Qualification :12th pass in science subjects and two years diploma in Medical Laboratory Technician or one-year DMLT plus one year required experience in a recognized organization. 3. Emoluments : Consolidated Rs. 18,000/- per month.

LRS TB Hospital was established by TB Association of India in 1952. The hospital was upgraded into an autonomous Institute in 1991 by Govt. of India. The Institute was renamed as LRS Institute of Tuberculosis & Respiratory Diseases under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India.
The Union Minister of Health & Family Welfare is the President of the Institute and the Union Secretary (Health & Family Welfare) is the Chairman of the Governing Body. Director General Health Services is the Vice-Chairman and the Additional Secretary (Health) is the Alternative Vice-Chairman of the Governing Body of the Institute. The Director is the Chief Executive Officer.
Aims and objectives of the hospital are To act as an apex Institute in the country for prevention, control and treatment of Tuberculosis and Allied Diseases; To promote National Tuberculosis Control Programme in the country and to formulate strategies which are socially acceptable and economically feasible in order to assist and strengthen the program.
