Accountant and Various Posts

Number of Vacancy: 08 Posts
Educational Qualification:
Nursing Tutor:
i) Masters Degree in Psychiatric Nursing with at least 55% marks from a recognized University/Institution.
ii) Registered as Nurse and Midwife with Central or State Nursing Council. Desirable: 2 years post M.Sc. teaching and research experience in a mental hospital or psychiatric department or a general hospital/recognized teaching institution.
Staff Nurse:
(i) HSSLC Passed.
(ii) Registered Nurse (GNM/B.SC Nursing).
(iii) Registration with INC or State Nursing Council is a must.
Hindi Translator:
(i) Master’s Degree of a recognized University or equivalent in Hindi or English with English or Hindi as compulsory or elective subject or as a medium of examination at degree level. OR
(ii) Master’s Degree of a recognized University or equivalent in any subject other than Hindi or English with Hindi or English as a compulsory or elective subject or as a medium of examination at degree level. OR
(iii) Master’s Degree of a recognized University or equivalent in any subject other than Hindi or English with Hindi & English as a compulsory or elective subject or either of the two as a medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at degree level. AND Recognized Diploma or Certificate Course in Translation from Hindi to English and vice – versa OR five years experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice-versa in Central or State Government offices including GOI undertakings.
Desirable:
i) Knowledge at the level of matriculation of a recognized Board or equivalent of one of the languages other than Hindi mentioned in the Eights Schedule of the Constitution.
(ii) Degree or Diploma in translation from Hindi to English and vice-versa from a recognized University.
(iii) Knowledge of local language. Note: In case of candidates with 55% and above EQ-(i), EQ-(ii) may be relaxed.
Accountant:
(i) Graduate in Commerce.
(ii) Possessing two years experience of handling and maintenance of account work and undergone successful training in cash and accounts work in ISTM or have passed Subordinate Accounts Service examination.
Physiotherapist: Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy or any other equivalent qualification from recognized University/Institution. Desirable: 2 years clinical experience with Neurological or Psychiatric patients in a recognized hospital.
Pump Operator: ITI passed in relevant field. Desirable: 1 year experience in the relevant field.

Level-07 Per Month
Age Limit: Maximum 35 Years.

The Lokopriya Gopinath Bordoloi Regional Institute of Mental Health (LGBRIMH) was initially set up as Tezpur Lunatic Asylum under the British Government in April, 1876.
In 1922 the hospital was rechristened as Tezpur Mental Hospital. With the progress in the field of psychiatry across the globe, steps were also taken to develop this hospital with modern facilities. Major construction activities were started in 1926. A private firm, “Zardine Menezes Co.,” was hired from Calcutta for undertaking the upgradation works. By the end of 1932 the hospital accommodation rose up to 700 beds. Most of the existing buildings in the Indoor section are of those times.
After the Independence, the hospital was brought under the Government of Assam. In 1949, Late Dr. N. C. Bordoloi became the Superintendent of the hospital. During his tenure, the hospital saw marked improvement in the administration and treatment services. Dr. Bordoloi was the first psychiatrist in the country to receive the Padmashree Award from the Government of India for his dedicated service.
With the increase in patient flow, a new Out-Patient Department (OPD) was built in 1987. In the following year, another two storied building was built to accommodate the increased number of patients. Subsequently, in 1989, the hospital was renamed as “Lokopriya Gopinath Bordoloi Institute of Mental Health”.
In 1999 the Institute was handed over to the North Eastern Council (NEC). Being the premier tertiary care psychiatric institute in the NE region, the hospital was upgraded to a regional institute with the objective of providing better mental health care and developing manpower in the region. The Institute was thereafter rechristened as “Lokopriya Gopinath Bordoloi Regional Institute of Mental Health.”
On June 1, 2007, the Institute was taken over by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
