Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Essential: MBBS degree from a recognized University and duly registered in the Medical Council.
  • Preference: Candidates possessing post-graduate qualification like DPH/MD (Community Medicine)/ MD (PSM) from a recognized university will be given preference.
  • Experience: 01 (one) year experience in the practice of medicine/working experience in the field of Public Health.

Age Limit

  • Maximum Age: Not more than 37 years as of 1st January of the year of Advertisement (01.01.2026).
  • Age Relaxation:
    • SC/ST candidates of West Bengal: 5 years
    • OBC candidates of West Bengal: 3 years
    • PwD candidates (40% and above disability): Up to 45 years
    • Ex-Servicemen: Period of military service deducted from actual age, with a maximum relaxation of 3 years.
    • Candidates who served on contractual basis under KMC: Relaxation equivalent to the period of full-time contractual engagement (max 3 years).
  • Cut-off Date: Age is calculated as of 1st January 2026. Only the Madhyamik or equivalent certificate will be accepted as proof of age.
