Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Assistant Professor – Surgical Oncology: Qualifications must conform to the National Medical Commission (NMC) Regulations dated 30.06.2025 prescribing minimum qualifications for teachers in medical institutions (and any amendments thereof). This includes the requisite postgraduate medical degree (MS/DNB/M.Ch) in Surgical Oncology or related surgical super-specialty as defined by NMC.
• MS-CIT Passing Certificate: Mandatory. If not available at the time of interview, it must be submitted within three months from the date of appointment.
• Marathi Language Requirement: SSC (10th) or HSC (12th) passed with Marathi as a subject. If the passing certificate is unavailable at the time of interview, it must be submitted within six months from the date of appointment.
• MMC / MCI Registration: Candidates must hold valid registration with the Maharashtra Medical Council (MMC) or Medical Council of India.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

1. Application Screening: The submitted offline applications are verified for completeness, eligibility under NMC Regulations, and possession of all required documents.
2. Personal Interview: Eligible candidates will be called for a personal interview on 22 October 2026 at 2:30 PM in the Chamber of Dean, LTMGH, Sion, Mumbai 400 022.
3. Document Verification: Original certificates and documents will be verified on the day of the interview. Candidates must carry all originals along with attested photocopies.

Note: No TA/DA will be paid to candidates appearing for the interview. The appointment is purely on a contract basis and can be discontinued at any time if services are not required. The appointed candidate may resign by submitting one month's advance notice. Services will be terminated if Assistant Professors become available on a regular basis through direct service recruitment.

Pay, Leave & Contract Terms

• Consolidated Remuneration: Rs. 1,10,000/- per month (no additional allowances applicable)
• Contract Duration: Till 31 March 2027
• Leave Entitlement: Only Casual Leave and Special Casual Leave as per circular No. Director/M.E. & M.H/3644 dated 14.10.2022. No other leave categories are applicable.
• Job Security: This is a contractual appointment only and does not confer any permanent government job security or pension benefits.
