3. Qualification:
(i) Possess Master’s degree in Statistics, Biometry, Econometrics or Mathematical Economics; OR
(ii) Possess Master’s degree in Mathematics or Economics with altest two papers in Statistics, Economics or Mathematical Economics; OR
(iii) Possess Master’s degree in Mathematics or Economics with a post-graduate diploma in Statistical Institute or Indian Agriculture Statistics Research Institute or any other Institute recognized by Government
iv. Provided that preference may be given to candidates holding the diploma in Health Statistics of All India Institute of Hygience and Public Health Calcutta or a Diploma of a certificate in Demography from International Institute of Population science, Bombay or an equivalent qualification, and also to those possessing experience in statistical work in the field of Health.
4. Salary (Per Month): Rs.41800-132300/-

Maharashtra Public Service Commission ("MPSC" or "the Commission") is an Autonomous Body constituted and set up under Article 315 of the Constitution of India to discharge the duties and functions as assigned under Article 320 of the Constitution. The Commission accordingly recommends suitable candidates for the various posts under the Government and advises Government on various service matters like formulation of recruitment rules, on promotions, transfers, and disciplinary proceedings, etc.
