Sub: Inviting applications from practising Advocates/ Law firms for Empanelment in the panel. of advocates of Mangalore University- Regarding
Applications in the prescribed format are invited from the interested practising advocates/law firms registered with Bar Council for empanelment into the panel of advocates to represent the University before various courts, forums and tribunals etc.

1. Post Name : Advocate
2. Qualification :
a) The applicant Advocate shall hold Bachelor degree in Law rom a recognized University and registration with Bar Council of India/ State Bar Councils.
b) In addition to the above, the Advocates are required to have the minimum professional/court practice experience as under:
i) Minimum ten years of experience as practising Advocates on record (AOR)/ Senior Advocates / Advocates for empanelment at Supreme Court of India .
ii) Minimum three years of experience as practicing Advocates for empanelment at High court of Karnataka .
3 .Tenure/ terms of Empanelment/ Engagement:
a) Term of Empanelment: The initial empanelment of the Advocate Law Firm (s) will be for a period of five years. However, on completion of the term and satisfactory performance of the Advocate/Law Firm the empanelment may be renewed for a further eriod as the Authority may decide.
b) Termination of Empanelment/Engagement: The Authority reserves the right to terminate the empanelment of any Advocate/ Law Firm at any time without assigning any reason. Upon termination or no renewal of the empanelment, concerned Advocate/Law Firm shall return briefs to the University along with related documents and records with No Objection Certificate.

How to Apply:
Eligible firms/practising advocates must submit the duly filled applications in the prescribed format along with supporting documents in a sealed envelope to "The Registrar, Mangalore University, Mangalagangothri, Konaje, Mangalore- 574199 , Dakshina Kannada District " so as to reach him on or before 25.02.2022
Important Instructions:
a) In all cases, personal appearance of the counsel is necessary.
b) Advocates should receive the notice meant for the Mangalore University and should be able to handle the cases and appear in such matters in the Courts and strive to avoid passing of an Ex-parte order against Mangalore University.
c) Advocate should be able to prepare written statements, Appeal Memo, Application etc based on the para wise remarks.
d) Appeals, revisions or petitions arising from one common judgment or order will be together considered as one case, if they are heard together.
