Subject: Advertisement for the engagement of Consultants (Legal) in the Administration Division of the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change regarding 1. Post Name: Consultants 2. Qualifications and Experience : (i) Bachelor's Degree in Law (LL.B) or equivalent from a recognized University and/ or Institute in India, recognized by the Bar Council of India and having experience of more than three (03) years. (ii) Enrolled as an Advocate with the Bar Council of India or any State Bar Council, under the provisions of the Advocates Act, 1961. (iii) Must be having experience in legal drafting. 3. Desirable: (i) Experience of environment, forests, a Government of Department/ Board. handling cases related to biodiversity and wildlife etc. in India or State Government 4. Remuneration per month (INR) : 60,000.00 (Sixty Thousand only) 5. Period of engagement: (a) The initial tenure of engagement for a person as Consultant (Legal) would be up to a period of three years (1+1+1) (subject to performance and presence of the professional in the Division concerned being highly useful). Continuation of the Consultant (Legal) beyond three years for up to additional two years will be considered based on assessment of performance and contribution to the Ministry, on case to case basis, with the approval of Competent Authority. 6. Allowances: The Consultants (Legal) shall not be entitled to any allowance such as Dearness Allowance, Residential Telephone, Residential Accommodation, Personal Staff, CGHS, and Medical Reimbursement etc. 7. Leave: Consultants (Legal) shall be eligible for 8 days leave in a single year of consultancy. The leave shall accrue to them on completed month basis calculated from their date of joining on pre-rata basis. Consultant (Legal) shall not draw any remuneration in case of his/ her absence beyond 8 days in a year (calculated on pro- rata basis). Un-availed leave in tenure of single year cannot be carried forward to next tenure of 1 year. The intervening Saturday, Sunday or Gazetted Holidays during a spell of leave shall not be counted against the 8 leaves. 8. Annual Increment: The quantum of annual increment to Consultants (Legal) shall be between 0% to 8% in their remuneration, depending upon quality of performance that may be determined judiciously by Divisional Head, on case to case basis. 9. Admissibility of TAJ DA: No T A/ DA shall be admissible for attending interview/ joining the assignment or on its completion. Normally, Consultants (Legal) will not be allowed foreign travel at Government expenses. Under exceptional circumstances, Secretary may allow foreign travel in public interest. Consultants (Legal) will be allowed TA, DA and Hotel Accommodation in connection with the official work as per the provisions of SR 190. 10. No of Post :02
