Applications in the prescribed proforma (as per Annexure I to the advertisement) are invited from eligible candidates for engagement of 01 (One) Consultant in the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), New Delhi, as per details given below 1. Name of the post : Consultant in OIA-II Division of the Ministry of External Affairs Headquarters, New Delhi 2. Period of Consultancy : Initially for 01 (one) year 3. The contract can be extended further depending on assessment of performance, mutual willingness and depending on the requirement. The contract may be terminated on one month’s notice from either side or on payment of one month’s pay in lieu thereof. Unauthorized absence may lead to termination of the engagement 4. No of Post: 01 5. Nature of Duties : i. The consultant shall act as single window for all Court cases pertaining to matters dealt by OIA-II Division of MEA. ii. To receive and compile the Court notices/Summons. iii. To Share Court notices with Sections, Divisions & Missions concerned in the Ministry and solicit inputs from them to respond to the Notices iv. To be well versed with the legal position on the issues and particularly laws related to social issues where one of the litigant is abroad. v. To maintain contact with all the empanelled Central Govt. Legal Counsels with a view to keeping abreast of ongoing and current Court Cases 6. Job Location : Ministry of External Affairs (South Block, Patiala House, JNB, ISIL Building, SSB, Akbar Bhawan), New Delhi. 7. Qualifications/ Essential Criteria: Applicant should be an Indian National. L.L.M/Bachelors Degree in Law. Applicant Must also be computer Savvy. Good health and the age limit is 62 years. 8. Desirable Criteria : 4-5 years work experience in legal field/Courts. Prior experience with MEA/Other GoI Departments. Prior experience of handling legal matters related to civil/criminal cases of women & child related issues. 9. Remuneration &Entitlements : i. The remuneration package will be commensurate with the experience and profile of the selected candidate, subject to a maximum of Rs. 10 lakh per annum and deduction of applicable taxes. The consultancy fees shall be paid in Indian Rupees. The amount of consultancy fee so fixed shall remain unchanged during the term of engagement. ii. The engagement will be strictly contractual and will not confer any other benefits to the selected candidates. iii. The consultant shall not be entitled to any benefit like Provident Fund, Pension, Gratuity, Medical Attendance Treatment, Seniority, Promotion etc. or any other benefits available to the regular employees of the Ministry.

1. Ministry of External Affairs will review the applications and short list the candidates if considers suitable for interview. The short-listed candidates will be intimated by email.
2. The date, time and venue of the interview will be conveyed through email at the email address provided by the applicants.
3. The decision of the Government regarding selection of candidate will be final.
4. The final selection will be based on their performance at the interview

2. Applications received after the closing date or without the prescribed documents or otherwise found incomplete or not in the prescribed proforma as given in are liable to be rejected and no correspondence shall be entertained in this regard.
3. Documents / certificates in support of educational qualifications, experience in Govt. service should be attached with the application.
4.
