Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Consultant in the PSP Division

  • Essential: Graduate degree in law (LLB) from a reputed recognized institution from India or abroad with specialization in drafting of legislation. Must be an Indian national. Preference will be given to lawyers with a 5-year degree in law.
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years of practice at the High Court level, with a minimum 5 years of experience in drafting and amendment of legislative and policy matters. Experience in working for the Government with legal background, knowledge in International law, International legal affairs including diplomatic norms and processes is required.
  • Desirable: Experience in Supreme Court. Diploma in Immigration law/Constitution matters.
  • Age Limit: 30 to 45 years (as on 06-02-2026).

Salary & Contract Terms

  • Remuneration up to Rs. 10 lakh per annum (subject to deduction of applicable taxes).
  • Strictly contractual engagement; no benefits like PF, Pension, or HRA are admissible.
  • Full-time engagement; working hours 0900 to 1730 hrs.
  • Leave: 1.5 days per completed month of service (max 10 days at a time).
  • No TA/DA for interview.
