The Central Passport Organization, a subordinate office of Ministry of External Affairs invites application for the post of Assistant Passport Officers in Level .10 (56100. 177500) of Pay Matrix from amongst officers of the Central Government / State Government / Union Territory Administrations on deputation basis under the following Passport Offices:-
1. Post Name: Assistant Passport Officer
2. Salary: Level 10 (56100 - 177500)
3. Number of Post & Name of Passport Office: 5 (Five) Guwahati, Kolkata and Srinagar
4. Eligibility:
(a) (i) holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or
(ii) with 2 years' service in the grade rendered after appointment, thereto on a regular basis in posts in the Pay Level-8 of the Pay Matrix or equivalent in the parent Cadre or Department; and
(b) possessing the following educational qualifications and experience
(i) Bachelor's degree from a recognised University or Institute;
(ii) Three years experience in Passport or Consular or Emigration or Ad- ministration or Finance or Accounts or Vigilance work, in a Central or State Government office.

Age Limit:As Per Rules Age
Selection Will be Based either Written Exam/Interview
1. The actual number of vacancy of Assistant Passport Officers under the respective Passport Office may increase / decrease due to administrative reasons.
2. The last date of receipt of application in MEA is sixty days from the date of publication of the Circular in the "Employment News".
