Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification
- For Fireman: Matriculation (10th Pass) or equivalent from a recognized Board. Additionally, the candidate must be:
- Conversant with the use and maintenance of all types of extinguishers, hose fitting, and fire appliances.
- Familiar with the use of first-aid Fire Fighting Appliances.
- Knowledge of elementary principles of Fire Fighting.
- Physically fit for strenuous duties.
- For Syce: Matriculation (10th Pass) or equivalent from a recognized Board. Must be conversant with the duties of Syce (Maintenance and feeding of horses, saddlery, and stable cleaning).
2. Age Limit
- Age as on: The crucial date for determining age is the last date of receipt of the application.
- General/EWS: 18 to 25 years.
- Government Servants: Relaxable up to 35 years as per Central Government orders.
3. Physical Standards (For Fireman Only)
Candidates must meet the following physical measurements:
- Height: 165 cms (Relaxation of 2.5 cms for ST candidates).
- Chest: 81.5 cms (Un-expanded) / 85 cms (On-expansion).
- Weight: 50 Kgs.

Physical & Fitness Tests (Fireman Post)
Qualifying tests to be performed by candidates who clear the written exam:
- Carry Load: Carry a person of 63.5 Kgs to a distance of 183 meters within 96 seconds.
- Long Jump: Clearing 2.7 meters wide ditch landing on both feet.
- Rope Climbing: Climbing 03 meters vertical rope using hands and feet.
