Mormugao Port Authority (MPA) has released an official notification for the recruitment of 08 Executive Engineer, Trainee Pilot, and other Class I posts on a regular basis. Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria for Executive Engineer (Civil), Trainee Pilot, Dy. Chief Engineer, and Sr. Dy. Secretary are invited to apply. Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Executive Engineer (Civil)

• Essential Qualification: Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering from a recognised University/Institution.
• Experience: Five years’ experience in executive cadre in Planning/Construction/Design/Maintenance, preferably of Port and Marine Structures, in an Industrial/Commercial/Government Undertaking.

Eligibility for Trainee Pilot

• Essential Qualification: Must hold a Certificate of Competency as Master of foreign going ship issued by the Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways, Government of India or equivalent qualification recognised by the same Ministry.
• Experience: One year post-qualification experience as Master/Chief Officer of Foreign going ship.
• Additional Requirement: Indian citizens with foreign Certificate of Competency recognized by India must acquire relevant endorsement from DG Shipping.

Eligibility for Dy. Chief Engineer

• Essential Qualification: Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering from a recognised University/Institution.
• Experience: Twelve years’ experience in executive cadre in Planning/Construction/Design/Maintenance, preferably of Port and Marine Structures, in an Industrial/Commercial/Government Undertaking.

Eligibility for Sr. Dy. Secretary

• Essential Qualification: A degree from a recognised University.
• Experience: Twelve years’ experience in executive cadre in General Administration, Personnel, Industrial Relations etc. in an Industrial/Commercial/Government Undertaking.
• Desirable: Post Graduate degree/diploma in Personnel Management/Industrial Relations/Social Work/Labour Welfare or allied subjects, or degree in Law from a recognised University/Institution.

Age Limit (as on 01-01-2026)

• Executive Engineer (Civil): Maximum age 35 years.
• Trainee Pilot: Maximum age 40 years.
• Dy. Chief Engineer: Maximum age 42 years.
• Sr. Dy. Secretary: Maximum age 42 years.
• Age relaxation for reserved categories will be applicable as per Government of India guidelines.

How to Apply

For Executive Engineer (Civil) & Trainee Pilot (Offline):
Candidates must send their application in the prescribed format with self-attested copies of relevant certificates and two passport size photographs. The envelope should be super-scribed with the application post and sent to: Office of the Secretary, General Administration Department, Mormugao Port Authority, 3rd Floor, Administrative Office Building, Headland Sada, Goa – 403 804 on or before 17.02.2026.

For Dy. Chief Engineer & Sr. Dy. Secretary (Online):
Candidates must apply online via the Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways Online Application Portal (https://onlinevacancy.shipmin.nic.in) from 17.01.2026 to 17.02.2026. A print-out of the online application along with documents must be sent to the same office address by 17.02.2026.

Selection Process

Selection will be through a written examination or interview, or both, depending on the number of applications. If both are conducted, the weightage will be 85% for the written exam and 15% for the interview. Management reserves the right to cancel the selection process at any stage.
