Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

Nationality & Residency

  • The applicant must be a local resident of the respective taluka (Andheri, Borivali, or Kurla) for the Kotwal post they are applying for.
  • A residency proof certificate issued by the concerned Tehsildar is mandatory.

Educational Qualification

  • Minimum 4th Pass – candidate must possess the relevant mark sheet or certificate.

How to Apply for Mumbai Suburban Kotwal Recruitment 2026

  1. Obtain the prescribed application form from the office of Tehsildar Andheri, Tehsildar Borivali, or Tehsildar Kurla by paying Rs. 20/- in cash between 8 October 2026 and 24 October 2026 during office working hours.
  2. Fill out the application form legibly and correctly with all required details.
  3. Attach self-attested photocopies of educational certificates, age proof, local residency certificate, caste certificate (if applicable), non-creamy layer certificate, and other required documents along with two recent passport-size photographs pasted on designated spaces with self-signature.
  4. Enclose the examination fee via Demand Draft (DD) in favour of 'तहसिलदार अंधेरी तथा सदस्य सचिव, कोतवाल निवड समिती' payable at Mumbai. Cash and cheques are not accepted.
  5. Write 'मुंबई उपनगर जिल्हा कोतवाल भरती-२०२६, तालुका (अंधेरी, बोरीवली व कुर्ला पैकीकी १ नमूद करणे आवश्यक)' clearly in bold letters on the envelope.
  6. Submit the completed application form along with enclosures either by hand or through registered post to the respective Tehsildar office (Andheri, Borivali, or Kurla) on or before 24 October 2026 up to 6:15 PM.

Note: Applications sent to any authority other than the designated Tehsildar offices will be rejected. Incomplete applications, forms without fee payment, or applications received after the deadline will be rejected summarily. The application fee is non-refundable.
