ANDUAT Recruitment 2026 – Post-Wise Vacancy & Pay Scale

Acharya Narendra Deva University of Agriculture & Technology (ANDUAT), Kumarganj, Ayodhya has announced 12 vacancies under Advertisement No. 12/2026. All 12 vacancies are in the Unreserved (UR) category as printed in the notification. Horizontal reservation for PWD, dependents of freedom fighters, Acid Attacked Victims (AAV), Dwarfism (Dw), and Lower Vision (LV) candidates will be applied as per Government of Uttar Pradesh rules.

Note: The notification provides pay scales, grade pay, and pay matrix levels only. It does not state a monthly salary figure. Service conditions including pay level and age of superannuation will be governed by University/ICAR rules and Government of Uttar Pradesh rules. Dearness Allowance and other allowances will be applicable as per prevailing university rules.

Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

Candidates must meet the essential requirements for the specific post applied for. All applicants must be citizens of India. Persons convicted by a court, or against whom criminal proceedings are pending, are not eligible. Candidates holding degrees/diplomas from institutions declared fake by the UGC are also ineligible.

• Registrar (Pay Level 14): Postgraduate degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade from a recognised university. At least 15 years of experience as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor (of which 8 years as Associate Professor/equivalent with experience in educational administration services); OR comparable experience in research/institution or higher education; OR 15 years of administrative experience (of which 8 years as Deputy Registrar or equivalent). Desirable: experience in conducting examinations/maintaining academic calendar in a semester system/agriculture education system.
• Librarian (Pay Level 14): Master's degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade (B on UGC 7-point scale) and consistently good academic record. At least 10 years as Deputy Librarian (AGP 8000) in a university library; OR 10 years as Assistant/Associate Professor in library science; OR 18 years as college Librarian (AGP 6000). Evidence of innovative library services including ICT integration. Desirable: Ph.D. in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation.
• Director Work & Plant (Pay Level 12): Degree in Civil Engineering/Agricultural Engineering from a recognised university. At least 10 years' experience in construction of large public buildings (not below rank of Executive Engineer) in Government/public organisation, co-operative/autonomous organisation, or reputed private firm. Significant experience in works management and maintenance of residential colonies. At least 10 years of administrative experience in works management and coordinating/supervising works department activities. Desirable: knowledge of accounts, financial procedure, purchases, store management, electricity laws; experience of campus planning and designing.
• Joint Director Seed & Farm (Pay Level 11): At least IInd Class B.Sc. (Ag.) degree from a recognised university. IInd Class M.Sc. (Ag.) degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade. At least 12 years' experience in managing farm operations and farm administration. Desirable: Ph.D. in Agriculture; capability of managing a mechanised farm; experience of quality seed production/processing.
• Editor (Pay Level 11): Three alternatives as printed in the notification: (a) M.Sc. (Ag.)/M.Sc./M.A. with 07 years' experience of journalism and editing in an organisation; OR (b) 8 years of teaching/research experience and supervision of research in toxicology/translation etc. in an institution; OR (c) Doctoral degree with adequate experience of publication of books and articles (research extension, press, radio, coverage etc.). Desirable: experience of managing a printing press.
• Secretary to Vice Chancellor (Pay Level 10): Bachelor degree/graduate from a recognised university. Postgraduate/2nd Class M.Sc. degree with at least 55% marks is preferable. Smart personality with ability to maintain liaison with various departments and officers of the university, maintain contacts with other Government departments, handle confidential correspondence, and assist the Vice-Chancellor in administrative matters.
• Deputy Registrar (Pay Level 10): Bachelor degree/graduate from a recognised university. Postgraduate/2nd Class M.Sc. degree with at least 55% marks is preferable. At least 3 years' experience of working in a university office or an institution equivalent to a university. Desirable: experience in an institution having course credits in a trimester/semester system.
• Security Officer (Pay Level 10): Either of the following: (a) Ex-Army/Police Officer not below the rank of Captain/Dy. S.P., or having experience in managing security of a big institution/university; OR (b) Ex-Serviceman JCO (Subedar or higher rank) or equivalent rank in other paramilitary forces with at least 10 years of experience in security.
• Farm Manager (Pay Level 10): At least IInd Class B.Sc. (Ag.) degree from a recognised university. IInd Class M.Sc. (Ag.) degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade. At least 10 years' experience in managing farm operations and farm administration of a mechanised/research farm. Desirable: experience of quality seed production/processing in a university/institution.
• Assistant Engineer – Civil (Pay Level 10): At least a graduate in Civil Engineering from a recognised university. Preferably two years of experience of civil works in a Government/Semi-Government/University or reputed organisation.
• Assistant Engineer – Electric (Pay Level 10): At least a graduate in Electrical Engineering from a recognised university. Preferably two years of experience of electrical works in a Government/Semi-Government/University or reputed organisation.

Marks Relaxation (UGC): As per Gazette of India Part III Section 4 dated 11 July 2016, a relaxation of 5% marks at graduate and master's level may be provided for SC/ST/Differently-abled/OBC (Non-creamy layer) categories based on qualifying marks and without grace-mark procedures.

Age Limit

Relaxation: As per G.O. No. 2-EM/2001-KA-4-2013 dated 27.08.2013 – 03 years for OBC, SC/ST category; 05 years for PWD; 10 years in the upper age limit for Group C and Group D posts. Age, qualification, and other conditions will be determined as on the closing date (05.11.2026).

Selection Process & Screening Clause

ANDUAT recruitment 2026 selection will be completed in two phases:

1. Phase I – Screening & Weightage: A specially constituted committee will screen all application forms, assigning weightage to academic qualification and experience as mentioned in the notification. The shortlist will be finalised based on this screening.
2. Phase II – Personal Interview/Interaction: Shortlisted candidates will be called for personal interview by the selection committee. Interview call letters will be issued on merit – up to 10 times the vacancies for a single post and up to 5 times for each subsequent post, along with candidates scoring equal marks to the last candidate.

Written/Skill Test Clause: If a large number of applications is received, the university reserves the right to conduct a written examination, skill test, domain knowledge test, or a combination thereof to shortlist applications. Lists of shortlisted candidates and test details will be published only on the university website.

No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for attending the interview. The university does not reimburse travel expenses.
