6. Desirable: The candidate should have experience in the area of conventional breeding/ marker assisted breeding / QTL mapping /mutation breeding/genetic manipulation of economically important plants/ medicinal plants /floriculture crops. Work experience in development of quality planting material, plant variety development and release, and improvement of quality traits in plants will have added advantage. The claims must be supported by publications/patents/new variety in the abovementioned areas.
7. Job specification: To undertake trait specific breeding for genetic improvement of economically important medicinal plants, nontraditional crops, and floriculture crops/ plants

Essential educational qualifications & experience: M.E. / M.Tech. in Computer Science/ Computer Science & Engineering/Information & Communication Technology/ Information Technology/ Information & Telecommunication Engineering/ Computer Applications B.Tech/M.Sc. in any of the above subjects with Post Graduate degree in Intellectual Property Law, (1st class or 60% on an aggregate or equivalent CGPA) OR B.E./B.Tech in any of the above subjects with Advanced Diploma from AcSIR with distinction OR Ph.D. (Submitted) in any of the science/engineering subjects in the area of ICT and related areas
6. Desirable: Knowledge and experience in System Administration and computer networking.
7. Job specification:The selected candidate is expected to take charge of the System and Network Administration at the institute level, which includes installation, configuration and maintenance of software / systems hardware, network hardware / firmware, maintenance of network servers, development and updation of website, VPN gateways, intrusion detection systems, e-mail facilities and other IT related infrastructure.

7. Job specification:To work in projects related to genetic improvement of ornamentals and flowering plants using conventional and molecular breeding approaches

Selection Procedure
1. The duly constituted Screening Committee will adopt its own criteria for short-listing the candidates.
2. In the event of number of applications being large, CSIR-NBRI may adopt short listing criteria to restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable number by any or more of the following methods:
(i) On the basis of higher educational qualifications than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement.
(ii) On the basis of higher experience in the relevant field than the minimum prescribed in the Advertisement.
(iii) By holding a written Test
(iv) On the basis of quality and quantity of Scientific Journal Publications.
(v) Any other method as deemed fit by Screening Committee.
How to Apply:
1. All applicants must fulfill the essential requirements of the post and other conditions stipulated in the advertisement as on the last date of receipt of the online applications i.e. 31-01-2022. They are advised to satisfy themselves before applying that they possess the essential qualifications laid down for the advertised post as on the last date of receipt of the application. No enquiry asking for advice as to eligibility will be entertained.
2. The prescribed essential qualifications are the minimum and the mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for interview. The candidate should therefore, mention in the application all the qualifications and experiences in the relevant area over and above the minimum prescribed qualification(s), supported by documents.
3. The application should be accompanied by self-attested copies of the relevant educational qualifications and experiences. The prescribed qualifications should have been obtained through recognized Universities / Institutions.
4. Eligible and interested candidates are required to apply ONLINE only through our official website https://www.nbri.res.in during the period from 06.12.2021 ( 10.00 A.M.) till 31.01.2022 ( upto 05.00 P.M.) No other mode of application will be accepted.
5. Candidates are requested to keep a copy of application print out for their record
6. All the instructions for filing online applications is available at our website. Candidates are requested to read and follow instructions carefully for applying online.
7. To avoid any technical difficulty, candidates are advised to submit online application well in advance of the date of closing of online application.
8. Online Applications will be availabe on CSIR-NBRI website https://www.nbri.res.in. The website will be Opened on 06.12.2021 (10.00 a.m. onwards) and closed on 31.01.2022 (till 5.00 p.m.). It is mandatory to take the print out of the successfully submitted online application form, sign the same and attach the self attested mandatory documents and passport size photograph. The print out of the application along with the relevant documents must reach CSIR-NBRI on or before 21.02.2022 upto 6.00 p.m. i.e. within 21 days of the last date of the online application submission.
9. For submission of online applications the candidates are required to pay a nonrefundable fee of Rs. 100/- (Rupees one hundred only) through online payment link availabe in the CSIR-NBRI recruitment portal at CSIR-NBRI website only. The transaction number generated after successful payment of fee is required to be mentioned in the online application. The candidates are advised to mention the transaction No. of online payment in the application form. The candidates belonging to SC/ST/Women/PwBD and candidates from abroad, and regular employees of CSIR are exempted from payment of application fee.
