The recruitment is for the project "Genomics Assisted Improvement of Barnyard Millet for Enhanced Yield and Processing Efficiency Towards Development..." under ICAR-NBPGR. All selected candidates will be engaged on a temporary, project-based basis for the duration of the project funding and as determined by the competent authority.

Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Project Associate-I:
  • Educational Qualification: Post Graduate degree in Life Sciences / Biochemistry / Chemistry / Food Chemistry / Bioinformatics / Biotechnology / Agricultural Sciences / Agronomy / Genetics and Plant Breeding.
  • Desirable: Proven hands-on experience in computational analysis and interpretation of biological data, particularly NGS data, with strong programming skills in Python, R, or Perl; experience in Linux/UNIX environments; experience in agriculture research for phenotyping, crop management, and statistical analysis; experience in analytical food chemistry; publications in peer-reviewed high-impact journals.
• Project Assistant:
  • Educational Qualification: B.Sc. in Agriculture / Life Sciences or 3-year Diploma in Engineering & Technology / Computer / Information Technology.
  • Desirable: Working experience in field experiments, data recording in germplasm collections for phenotyping and crop management, statistical analysis; proficiency in computer operations (MS Office).
• Age Relaxation (both posts): Women — 5 years; SC/ST — 5 years; OBC — 3 years; PwD — 10 years (as per rules).

Selection Process & Screening Clause
