Eligibility Criteria for Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

  • Essential Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Remote Sensing and GIS, Earth Science, Applied Geology, or Environmental Science OR Graduate/M.Tech in Civil Engg., Water Resources, Agricultural Engg., or Land and Water Resources Development. Selection must be through one of the following: a) Scholars selected through National Eligibility Tests (CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship) and GATE; b) Selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments/Agencies (DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, NISER, etc.).

  • Desirable Qualification: Preference will be given to meritorious candidates with experience in GIS and Remote Sensing.
