Educational Qualification:
Senior Research Fellow (SRF): Master’s degree in Life Sciences/Microbiology/Genetic /Biotechnology/Biochemistry from a recognized University with 2 years of experience in a related field.

Technician-I: 12th in Science subject with Two years Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) OR One year DMLT plus one year recognized Laboratory experience in a recognized Institute/Organisation. B.Sc. Degree shall be treated as 3 years of experience.

About National Institute of Immunohaematology

ICMR-National Institute of Immunohaematology was established in the year 1957 with an aim to conduct multidisciplinary research related to Immunohaematology offer diagnostic services and provide training to medical and non-medical professionals in the field of haematology, Immunology, genetics and conduct awareness programmes on haematological disorders.

The main objectives of the institute include conducting research on blood-related disorders and diseases, developing new diagnostic and therapeutic tools for these conditions, and providing training and education to researchers and healthcare professionals.

The NIIH is also involved in the collection and storage of rare blood samples for research purposes and in the creation of a national database of blood donors.

The institute has a team of highly skilled and experienced researchers who work on various aspects of immunohematology, including blood group genetics, transfusion medicine, and stem cell transplantation.
