Educational Qualification: Junior Medical Officer: MBBS degree from a recognized university.
Health Assistant: High school or equivalent with five year experience in related field from a Government institution or recognised institution or certificate of one year training in the relevant area of ITI or National Trade certificate of National Council for Vocational Training and successful completion of ATS in relevant trade from a Government recognized board.
Technician/ Field Assistant: High School or equivalent with five years’ experience in related field from a government institution or recognised institute or certificate of one year training in the relevant area or ITI or national Trade certificate of national Council for Vocational Training and successful completion of ATS in relevant trade
from a government recognised board. *Intermediate with science subjects and B.Sc. shall be treated as equivalent to 2 and 3 years’ experience respectively
Lab Technician: 12th pass in science subjects and two years diploma in Medical Laboratory Technician or one year DMLT plus one year required experience in a recognised organization or two years laboratory experience. *B.Sc. Degree shall be treated as 3 years’ experience

ICMR-National Institute of Immunohaematology was established in the year 1957 with an aim to conduct multidisciplinary research related to Immunohaematology offer diagnostic services and provide training to medical and non-medical professionals in the field of haematology, Immunology, genetics and conduct awareness programmes on haematological disorders.
The main objectives of the institute include conducting research on blood-related disorders and diseases, developing new diagnostic and therapeutic tools for these conditions, and providing training and education to researchers and healthcare professionals.
The NIIH is also involved in the collection and storage of rare blood samples for research purposes and in the creation of a national database of blood donors.
The institute has a team of highly skilled and experienced researchers who work on various aspects of immunohematology, including blood group genetics, transfusion medicine, and stem cell transplantation.
