NIMHANS is conducting WALK-IN-INTERVIEW for the post of “Psychosocial Care Trainer / Field Work Co-Ordinator “on a contract basis for the NSE funded project entitled “National Initiative for Skill Training on Dementia and Mental Health for Caregivers of Older Persons (NISTDeMCOPe)” under Dr. P T Sivakumar, Professor, Department of Psychiatry & Principal Investigator, NIMHANS, Bengaluru.

3 . Essential Qualification for Eligibility: Masters in Social Work/ Fellowship in Psycho-social care for the elderly

4. Desirable Qualifications : 

a) Experience of working in a geriatric mental health setting including the management of persons with dementia at least for the duration of one year

b) Experience in the training of caregivers, public health staff

c) Proof of proficiency in presentations, clinical case discussions, publications, pedagogy, communication skills

d)  Proficiency in multiple languages will be preferable (Hindi/Kannada)

5. Work Location: Sakalawara Community Mental Health Centre NIMHANS, Bengaluru with intermittent travel to the implementation sites across India

6. Field visits / Out of state travel: Yes

7. This position involves: 

a) Development of Training module for the professional caregivers on geriatric mental health and dementia care

b) Development of learning material and educational videos in different languages

c) Psychosocial care training for caregivers in geriatric care 

d) Administrative work related to the implementation of the project 

e) Coordinating periodic field visits

f)Online support for the caregivers/trainees after job placement

g) Any other clinical, academic and administrative

h)Training/Mentoring/Clinical responsibilities required for the project

i) Mobile Call support 24X7

8. Salary: 40,000 INR per month

9. Duration of the post : 3 months or till the completion of the project, whichever is earlier.

Further extension will be depending on the next phase of the extension of the project
