Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification
- Senior Scientific Assistant (Human Genetics): I or II class Master's degree or equivalent in Life Science.
- EEG Technician: Diploma in Clinical Neuro Physiology OR B.Sc. in Physics/Electronic/Computer.
- Library Assistant: Master Degree in Library and Information Science.
- Artist: SSLC/Matriculation + Diploma in Arts.
- Photographer: SSLC/Matriculation + Diploma in Photography/Cinematography.
- Stenographer Grade-II: Graduate + Skill test (Dictation 10 mins @ 80 wpm; Transcription 50mts Eng / 65mts Hindi).
- Assistant Instructor (Panchakarma): SSLC/10th + 1-year Certificate course in Panchakarma.
- Medical Records Technician: Bachelor Degree preferably in Science + Training in Medical Records Technician Course.
- Junior Secretarial Assistant: Any Bachelor Degree + 06 months training in computer course.
- Hospital Assistant (Panchakarma): SSLC/10th Class Pass.
- Barber: SSLC passed.
2. Age Limit (as on 04 March 2026)
- Senior Scientific Assistant: Up to 35 Years.
- EEG Technician & Library Assistant: Up to 30 Years.
- All Group C Posts: Up to 27 Years.
3. Age Relaxation
- SC/ST: 5 Years
- OBC: 3 Years
- PwBD: 10 Years (13 Years for OBC, 15 Years for SC/ST)
- Central Govt. Employees: Up to 5/8/10 Years based on category.
- Ex-Servicemen: Length of Military service + 3/6/8 Years.
Selection Process & Exam Structure
The selection involves a competitive examination process:
Stage-I: MCQ based Test
- Mode: To be intimated in Admit Card (likely Computer Based Test/OMR).
- Duration: 90 Minutes.
- Language: English Medium.
- Marking Scheme: +1 Mark for correct answer; -0.25 Mark (Negative Marking) for wrong answer.
- Qualifying Marks: UR/EWS (40%), OBC (35%), SC/ST/PwBD (30%).
Stage-II: Skill Test & Document Verification
- Conducted by NIMHANS for specific posts (e.g., Stenographer, Junior Secretarial Assistant).
- Final merit list based on combined marks of Stage-I and Stage-II.
