Educational Qualification:
Project Scientist-II: M.E./M.Tech. in Electronics & Communication / Electronics / Applied Electronics/ VLSI Design/ Embedded system design/ Instrumentation & Control/Communication systems from a recognized university or institute. With Three years’ experience in Research & Development, Survey / Planning, supervision or training in the relevant field.
Project Scientist-I: B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical Engg. from a recognized University / Institute with at least 60% marks in the qualifying degree level.
Project Scientific Assistant: Three years Diploma in Mechanical / Mechatronics / Automobile Engineering from a recognized Institute with 60% marks.
Project Technician: 10th standard with two years ITI Tradesman Course in Fitter approved by National Council for Vocational Training or its equivalent from recognized Institutions.
Project Junior Assistant: Any degree from a recognized Board or University.

Age Limit: Maximum 50 Years.

The National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT) was established in November 1993 as an autonomous society under the Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India. NIOT is managed by a Governing Council and the Director is the head of the Institute. Major aim of starting NIOT under the Ministry of Earth Sciences, is to develop reliable indigenous technologies to solve the various engineering problems associated with harvesting of non-living and living resources in the Indian Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ), which is about two-thirds of the land area of India.
