Eligibility for Stores Purchase Officer

• Essential Qualification: Graduate qualification in any discipline.
• For Deputation: Officers of Central/State Government, Semi-Government, Universities, Research Institutions, Autonomous Bodies, or PSUs holding analogous posts or lower posts in Level-10 (GP Rs. 5400) with 5 years service, or in Level-7 (GP Rs. 4600) with 7 years service, or in Level-8 (GP Rs. 4800) and Level-10 with a total of 6 years service. Experience in Administration, Accounts, House-Keeping, and Establishment Matters is required.
• For Direct Recruitment: Graduate preferably with Post Graduate Diploma in Materials Management, training in secretariat work, or passed UPSC examination of Section Officers/Stenographer/Private Secretary/Stores Purchase Officer.
• Experience (Direct Recruitment): At least 5 years in Level-10, OR 7 years in Level-7, OR 4 years in Level-8 and 4 years in Level-10 (total 8 years) of stores and accounts work in a Govt. Office, Public Body, or reputed organization.
• Desirable: Knowledge of Govt. Rules & Regulations and Computer Application/Management Information System.
• Crucial Date: Candidates must possess essential qualifications and experience as on 20.01.2026.

Age Limit for Stores Purchase Officer

• Direct Recruitment: Not more than 40 years as on 20.01.2026. (DOB range: Born on or before 20.01.2008 and on or after 20.01.1986).
• Deputation: Not exceeding 56 years as on the last date for receipt of applications.
• Age Relaxation: No upper age limit for regular staff of the Institute. Age relaxation for reserved categories applies as per Govt. of India rules.

Salary / Pay Scale
