National Institute of Technology Raipur invites applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the R&D Project sponsored by IBITF, IIT Bhilai at the Department of Computer Science & Engineering. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates interested in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Fintech to work in a project focused on AI Chatbots for Insurance and Claim Assistance.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

• Essential Qualification: B.Tech. / B.E. degree in (CSE/IT/ EE/ETE/ Data Science/ AI/ML or any other relevant branch) with GATE qualified OR B.E./B.Tech. and M.E./M.Tech. in Computer Sc. & Engg. / Information Technology/EE/ETE/ Data Science/ AI/ML or any other relevant branch or MCA/MSc (Computer Science/IT) equivalent from an Institute of National Importance/AICTE-approved University/Institution with minimum 65% marks or 7.0 CGPA (out of 10).
• Note: Preference will be given for GATE/NET qualified candidates.
• Desirable: Candidates with strong knowledge and hands-on experience in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Web technologies and Python will be given preference.

Project Details

• Project Title: AI chat Bots for Insurance and Claim Assistance
• Sponsoring Agency: IBITF, IIT Bhilai
• Research Area: Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning / Fintech / Generative AI
• Duration: Initially up to 30th June 2026, with possibility of extension for an additional two years (Co-terminus with the duration of the Project), subject to satisfactory performance.

Salary / Fellowship

Selected candidates will receive a consolidated monthly fellowship of Rs. 37,000/- per month plus HRA.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on a Walk-in-Interview scheduled on 08th January 2026. Candidates must bring the printed application along with self-attested copies of all relevant documents. Original documents must be presented for verification.
