Tuberculosis Prevalence Survey is a time bound activity and is crucial for Ending TB in India and is planned to be undertaken on mission mode. High level of commitment is required with a will to work on Sundays & holidays (except, important local holidays). Job requires continuous field work throughout the state in various districts for field posts. Preference will be given to those having working experience in National Health Surveys/similar activities. Candidates are invited to attend Walk-In-Written Test/Skill Test/Interview for the below mentioned posts at ICMR-National Institute for Research in Tuberculosis, No.1, Mayor Satyamoorthy Road, Chetpet, Chennai - 600 031.

3. Duration of Project: Six Months

4. Project: “District wise prevalence of microbiologically confirmed pulmonary tuberculosis in Tamil Nadu”

5. Consolidated Monthly Salary: Rs.32,000/-p.m

6. Place of posting: Chennai

7. Languages expected to be known: Tamil and English

8. Essential Qualification: Graduate in Statistics/Applied Statistics/ Bio-Statistics from a recognized university with 5 years work experience from a recognized Institution. OR Master’s degree in Statistics/Applied Statistics/Bio-Statistics from a recognized university.

9. Job specifications / responsibilities:  

1. Get trained in Protocol of State TB Prevalence Survey, Tamil Nadu as well as SOPs and training manuals.

2. Involve in monitoring the daily work reports generated.

3. Perform data cleaning and management of the data being generated from State TB Prevalence Survey.

4. Work with Statistical packages like STATA, SPSS for data analysis.

5. Assist the PMU/ Survey coordinator in finalizing the reports, coordinate and manage the data from various streams like field, lab, x-ray and monitoring.

6. Undertake supervisory visits for monitoring the data quality in the cluster site. Any other job as assigned by PI
