No of Post: 03 3. Scale of Pay: Pay Matrix: Level 13 + NPA (Pre G.P. + NPA) 4. Essential Qualification: a) Post Graduate Degree in Siddha in the concerned subject recognized under IMCC Act, 1970. 5 years of teaching experience as Reader / Associate Professor in the concerned subject or 5 years of research experience in PB-III (Rs. 15,600-39100) with GP Rs.7600 /- with NPA. b) 15 years combined experience in teaching as Reader / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor / Lecturer in the concerned subject or 15 years of Research Experience in the pay scale of PB- Ill with GP of Rs.7,600/-, Rs.6,600/- and Rs.5,400/- with NPA respectively out of which minimum 2 years in the pay scale of PB-III (Rs.15,600 - 39,100) with GP Rs.7,600/- with NPA. c) Minimum five research publications indexed in index medicus or National journals. 1. Post Name: Assistant Professor 2. No of Post: 04 3. Scale of Pay: Pay Matrix: Level 10 + NPA (Pre-revised Scale of Pay : PB – 3 + Rs.5400 G.P.+ NPA) 4. Essential Qualification: a) PG Degree in Siddha in the concerned subject included recognized under IMCC Act,1970. 5. Desirable: Publication and experience in Research Working knowledge of Computers

How to Apply:
National Institute of Siddha” Payable at Chennai has to be submitted to the Director, National Institute of Siddha, Tambaram Sanatorium, Chennai:600 047 within 45 days from the date of Notification in the Employment News. SC / ST candidates are exempted from application fee and they should produce an attested copy of the community certificate from the competent authority along with the application form to claim for application fee exemption.

About National Institute of Siddha
National Institute of Siddha (NIS) was established on 3rd September 2005. It is located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. NIS was established to provide research and higher studies facility and help in securing global recognition for the Siddha system of medicine.
It is an autonomous body under the Department of AYUSH established with the aim to impart post-graduate education and research in Siddha medicine, provide holistic medical care through Siddha, develop, promote and propagate the science and art of Siddha.
NIS is affiliated to the Tamilnadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University and conducts post-graduate courses and doctor of medicine (M.D.) in Siddha in six subjects, namely, Siddha maruthuvam - pothu (general medicine); gunapadam (pharmacology); sirappu maruthuvam(special medicine); pillaippini maruthuvam or kuzhandhai maruthuvam (paediatrics); noi nadal (pathology), and nanju nool (toxicology) and Maruthuva Needhi Noolum (medical ethics).
