1. Post Name: GIS Specialist – Haryana Agriculture Dept 2. Roles and Responsibilities: a) Perform GIS tasks allocated in the PMU as per project requirements like digitisation, editing, and spatial data analysis. b) Capture the ground truth information based on digital sources provided and perform various analysis on satellite data. c) Create maps and graphs, using GIS software and data collection equipment. d) Perform various image processing techniques like image classification, and GIS analysis to bring out the meaningful information and results as per the project requirements. e) Create and maintain the database necessary for GIS data storage. 3. Essential Qualifications: a) 1 st Class Master's degree in Remote Sensing/ GIS/ Geoinformatics or relevant field.Or b) 1 st Class Master’s degree in Science with one year diploma in Remote Sensing/ GIS/ Geoinformatics or relevant subject.Or 1 st Class B.Tech. in Computer Engineering/lT/ Electronic Engineering with one year diploma in Remote Sensing/ GIS/ Geoinformatics or relevant subject 4.
