Applications are invited from the Indian National for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under sponsored project titled "Development of Quantum Dots and Pb+2 Free Hybrid Perovskite BaSed Flexible Photovoltaic Devices" funded by SERB in the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, NIT Hamirpur as per detail envisaged below: 1. Position : Research Fellow 2. No of post : 01 3. Qualification : The applicant must have passed Bachelor Degree and Master Degree in Engineering/Technology. Open/EWS/OBC-NCL candidates must have secured minimum CGPA/CGPI of 6.5 on a 10-point scale (or equivalent) or 60% marks in both Bachelor and Master Degrees. Whereas, in case of SC/ST candidates, a minimum CGPA/CGPI of 6.0 on a 10-point scale (or equivalent) or 55% marks in both Bachelor and Master Degree shall be applicable. The applicant B.E./B.Tech./Dual Degree should be in the relevant specialization of aforesaid entitled project, which includes Electronics & Communication Engineering/Chemical Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Electronics Engineering/Nanotechnology/Materials Science and Engineering/Engineering Physics/Chemistry Engineering. The candidate must have obtained his/her Post Graduate Degree through GATE/NET. Valid GATE/NET is not mandatory. 4. Emoluments : Rs. 31,000/-pm plus HRA as per institute rules. 5. Nature of Appointment : Post is purely on contract basis with the initial appointment for a period of one year from the date of joining or till the completion of the said project, whichever is earlier.

Selection Procedure
Date of interview and list of eligible candidates will be displayed on the institute website or informed through email. No separate letter will be issued to the shortlisted candidates for appearing in further screening and selection process. In case of offline interview, No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

The National Institute of Technology Hamirpur (NIT Hamirpur or NITH) is a public engineering college located in Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh. NIT Hamirpur offers a comprehensive curriculum for undergraduate, graduate and doctorate studies in various fields of engineering, pure sciences and humanities.
The institute came into existence on 7th, August 1986 as Regional Engineering College, Hamirpur. It was a joint enterprise of the Government of India and the Government of Himachal Pradesh. The classes commenced at Government Polytechnic College, Hamirpur as REC Hamirpur did not have a campus initially. The Institute has following departments, Civil Engineering, Electrical, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, department of Architecture, Chemical Engineering department. The Institute offers undergraduate courses, graduate and Ph.D programs.
On 26 June 2002, REC Hamirpur was awarded the status of deemed university and upgraded into a National Institute of Technology. NIT Hamirpur has been ranked as best NIT in terms of infrastructure by the World Bank in 2007.
