NIT Karnataka Invites Application for Senior Research Fellow / Project Associate-II Recruitment 2021

Applications are invited from eligible Indian national for Senior Research Fellow (SRF)/ Project Associate-II position in a time bound Ministry of Shipping, New Delhi sponsored project undertaken in the Department of Water Resources & Ocean Engineering.

1. Temporary Position (s): Senior Research Fellow (SRF)/Project Associate-II

2. Project Title: Design, Analysis and Development of Hybrid Floating Offshore Breakwater (HFOB) Sponsoring Agency Ministry of Shipping, New Delh

3. Consolidated monthly Compensation /Fellowship: Rs. 35,000/- plus HRA if campus accommodation is not available

4. Department/Centre: Department of Water Resources & Ocean Engineering

5. Duration of Project: 2 years

6. Tenure of Assignment: 1 year, extendable annually till completion of project, subject to satisfactory performance

7. Qualification and Experience: ME/M.Tech in Civil/ Applied Mechanics/ Ocean/ Coastal/ Offshore Engineering with consistently good academic record. Candidate must have a minimum two years of research experience in Ocean/ Coastal/ Offshore/ Marine Structure. Knowledge of design and analysis of breakwater. Knowledge of Boundary Element Method (BEM), MATLAB programming and must have publication in Scopus Indexed Journal.
