Educational Qualification: B.Tech/B.E, M.E/M.Tech, MS
Applications are invited from the interested candidates for the post of JRF to work on the R&D project titled “Smart Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment with improved Reconfigurability, Economic, Availability and Performance (REAP)” supported by Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), New Delhi. The selected candidate will be appointed initially for one year (on contract) and the services will be extended for next year based on the performance review.

4. Consolidated Salary: Rs. 31,000/- + 16% HRA (Per month for first two years) Rs. 35,000/- + 16% HRA (Per month for second year)

6. Educational Qualification:
BE/B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering and M.Tech./MS(R)/M.E./equivalent in Electrical & Electronics Engineering with expertise in Power Electronics. Candidates must have at least 6.5/10 CGPA or 60 percent marks in aggregate from a recognized technical institute or university as a full-time program.
7. Essential:
Applicant must be GATE qualified. A good GATE score will be an added advantage. Those who are appearing for M. Tech/ME last semester may also apply. Proof of M. Tech/ME certificate has to be provided during the time of interview.
8. Desirable: Expertise in MATLAB, PSCAD simulations, experience in development of power electronics hardware, experience in FPGA, DSP coding and project management.

The shortlisted candidates with the date of written test/interview will be intimated by email only.
1. Interested candidates must apply with the following documents: (1) Cover letter (2) CV with passportsized photograph, (3) Scanned copies of educational certificates and mark sheets from class XII onwards (4) GATE qualified certificate and (5) Scanned copies of Proof for research experience, special achievements and publications, if any.
2. The soft copies of all the above documents as single pdf with file name as “YOUR_NAME_JRF.pdf” must be emailed to the Principal Investigator (Dr. B. Dastagiri Reddy) on or before 24th April 2022 with subject “Application for JRF” and hard copies of all the documents should be send to the address for correspondence given below on or before 1st May 2021.
3. The email address for correspondence is given below. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the written test/interview.
4. The appointment will be on a purely temporary basis co-terminus with the project.
5. Candidates who are already employed should produce relieving certificate from their employers, if selected

National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal is located in Mangalore City, Karnataka State, India. The Institute was established as Karnataka Regional Engineering College (KREC) in 1960, and upgraded as National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK) in 2002. Mangalore is the headquarters of the coastal district of Dakshina Kannada, and boasts an important centre of education, business and trade in the state. Sri. U. Srinivasa Mallya, a visionary and a philanthropist, contributed immensely to the development of the coastal region of Karnataka, and his effort towards establishment of KREC (now NITK) is the most significant one. In recognition of his role as the founder and architect of the institute, the campus premises is named after him as Srinivasnagar.
