The National Institute of Technology Puducherry (NITPY), an Institution of National Importance, has released an advertisement for the recruitment of Faculty on a contract basis for the Integrated B.Sc.-B.Ed. program (ITEP-NCTE). This is a walk-in-interview opportunity for eligible candidates holding Post-Graduate degrees with B.Ed. and NET/SLET/Ph.D. qualifications.

Eligibility for Faculty (on-contract)

• Essential Qualification:
  • Post-Graduate degree in the relevant discipline (Mathematics), with minimum fifty-five percent marks or its equivalent grade.
  • B.Ed. degree with minimum fifty-five percent marks or equivalent grade.
  • National Eligibility Test (NET) OR State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) OR Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Education OR in the concerned subject as prescribed by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
• Desirable: M.Ed. or M.Ed. with Specialization Ph. D in Education.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on a Walk-in-Interview. Candidates must report at the venue at the specified time with all original documents. Mere fulfilment of the qualification per se does not entitle a candidate to be called for interview. Institute reserves the right to select or reject a candidate without assigning any reason.

How to Apply

Candidates fulfilling the above eligibility conditions are required to report for Walk-in-interview on 06-01-2026, along with the original and photocopies of the mark sheets, certificates, and one passport size photograph. Candidates must also bring the duly filled application form, which is available on the institute website.

Terms and Conditions

• The nature of the engagement is purely temporary.
• If selected, one-month notice is required on either side to quit the engagement during said tenure.
• Consolidated remuneration is fixed at the time of joining and will not be changed during the period of engagement.
• The selected candidate will be required to join immediately.
• Canvassing in any form will render a candidate ineligible.
• This engagement does not confer any right on the applicant to claim either continuous employment or permanency in future.
• The institute reserves the right to defer or cancel the advertisement at any stage of processing without assigning any reasons.
