NIT Silchar Invites Application for Junior Research Fellow Recruitment 2022

Applications are invited from Indian citizens for the temporary post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for DST sponsored project in the Science, Technology, and Innovation Hub, NIT Silchar, Assam.

1. Name of the Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

2. No. of posts: 02 (Two)

3. Title of the project: Establishment of Science, Technology and Innovation Hub in NIT Silchar, Cachar, Assam, for the socio-economic upliftment of SC/ST population in Assam

4. Duration: Initially for 01 year extendable till 03 year.

5. Essential Qualification: 

a) M.E./M. Tech. or equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering from recognized University with GATE score.

b) M.E. /M. Tech. or equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering from recognized University with GATE score.

6. Desirable Qualification: 

a) Master’s Degree in any specialization of Mechanical Engineering along with prior experience in either of the following areas: Energy storage; Condition Monitoring; Material Processing; Solar Thermal system. Candidates with a priori experience will be given preference.

b) Master’s Degree in any specialization of Electrical Engineering along with prior experience in either of the following areas: Thermo-electric generator; Testing of biomass cookstove; Energy storage. Candidates with a priori experience will be given preference.

7. Salary/Emoluments: Rs. 31,000/-per month Note: Candidate will be eligible for H.R.A as per the Project/Institute norms (if accommodation is not provided by the Institute)
