Scope of Work
The selected trainee will be responsible for tracing and drawing; operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment; repair, fabrication, handling, packing, and installation of exhibits, equipment, and instruments; and any other work assigned by the Centre's authorities.
Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification
- Post: Trainee Craft (Draughtsman) – Mechanical
- Educational Qualification: Must hold a fresh ITI Certificate in the Draughtsman (Mechanical) trade, obtained after completing matriculation, from a duly recognized institute. The ITI must have been passed on or after 2024.
- Experience: Not required – fresh pass-outs are eligible.
Selection Process & Screening Clause
The selection process consists of two sequential stages held on the walk-in date:
- Document Verification (09:30 AM – 10:45 AM): Candidates must report with original certificates and self-attested photocopies. Gate closes sharply at 10:45 AM; latecomers will not be permitted.
- Walk-In-Test (11:00 AM onwards): A combined Aptitude Test and Trade Test will be conducted at the NSC Delhi premises.
Important: No TA/DA will be paid to candidates appearing for the walk-in test.
Contract Duration & Job Nature
This is a purely contractual trainee position and not a regular government cadre post. The engagement is for an initial period of one year, which may be extended by a further period of one additional year subject to satisfactory performance. Upon completion of the contract term, there is no automatic absorption into a permanent government service position.
