Staff Nurse: B.Sc (Hons.) Nursing/B.Sc Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
Assistant Section Officer (ASO): Any Degree.
Audit Assistant: B.Com.
Junior Translation Officer: PG (Relevant Subject).
Legal Assistant: Degree (Law).
Stenographer: 12th Class (Dictation: 10 mts@ 80 w.p.m. Transcription: 50 mts (Eng.) 65 mts (Hindi) (On computer).
Computer Operator: BE/ B.Tech/ BCA/B.Sc. (Computer Science/IT).
Catering Supervisor: Degree (Hotel Management).
Junior Secretariat Assistant(HQ/RO Cadre): 12th Class (English 30 wpm/ Hindi 25 wpm).
Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA): 12th Class (English 30 wpm/ Hindi 25 wpm).
Electrician and Plumber: 10th Class/ITI/ (Electrical /wiring).
Lab Attendant: 10th Class /12th Class (Laboratory Technique).
Mess Helper: 10th Class.

Age Limit: Maximum 35 Years.

The National Policy on Education-1986 envisaged setting up of residential schools, to be called Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, that would bring out the best of rural talent.
It was felt that children with special talent or aptitude should be provided opportunities to progress at a faster pace by making good quality education available to them irrespective of their capacity to pay for it. Such education would enable students from rural areas to compete with their urban counterparts on an equal footing; seamlessly assimilating and intefrating them into the mainstream of the society.
