Eligibility Criteria for Assistant Manager/ Transport Planner

• Essential Qualification: B.E./B.Tech (Civil) (Full Time) or B.Plan (Full Time).
• Preferable Qualification: Post-Graduate/Master's in Transport Planning/Transport Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum 05 years of post-qualification experience. Experience is counted from the date of assumption of charge; teaching or freelancing experience is not considered.
• Job Description (Experience Profile): Prepare and evaluate transport plans, mobility plans, and traffic impact assessments for RRTS corridors; assist in integrated multimodal planning; coordinate with engineering, operations, and civil teams; prepare detailed project reports of rail-based transit systems.
• Pay Scale/CTC Requirement: Candidates must currently work in specific pay scales (e.g., IDA scale Rs. 50000-160000 or above, CDA scale Rs. 56100-177500 or above) or have a minimum CTC of Rs. 11.10 lakhs per annum in the private sector.
• Education Validity: Only full-time regular courses from UGC recognized/AICTE approved institutions are considered.
• Age Limit: Maximum 40 years as on 19/01/2026. Age relaxation applies: SC/ST (5 years), OBC-NCL (3 years), PwBD (10 years), Ex-servicemen (5 years).

Salary

The post is in the IDA Pay scale Rs. 50000-160000 (E2). Emoluments include Basic Pay, Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA), and Perks/Allowances under the Cafeteria Approach.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on a Written Test/Computer Based Test (CBT) (80% weightage) and an Interview (20% weightage). A merit list will be prepared based on the combined score. Candidates will be shortlisted in the ratio of 1:5 for the interview. Document verification is mandatory before the interview.
